Some antidepressants may increase risk for bipolar disorders

Taking certain antidepressants (particularly serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, and venlafaxine) for unipolar depression may lead to a heightened risk of subsequent mania/bipolar disorder, according to a study in BMJ Open. Read more and read the study abstract.
