Sarah Kaplan, MSN, RN-BC, NPD-BC, Jessica Varghese, PhD, RN, Giselle Gerardi, PhD, RN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, and Pam Ginex, EdD, MPH, RN, OCN all had poster presentations at the Eastern Nursing Research Society’s (ENRS) 37th Annual Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia, PA on April 3rd.

Jessica Varghese, PhD, RN was a panelist at the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing’s Town Hall where she spoke on the topic of “The Role of Nurses in Exposure Informed Care: Impact on Civilian Health Care” in San Diego, CA on May 23rd.

Pam Ginex, EdD, MPH, RN, OCN completed her first medical mission trip to Comayagua Honduras in February, where she and her medical team, comprised of nurses, physicians, and pharmacists, saw approximately 500 people, mostly women and children, in 4 days.

Marilyn Dollinger, DNS, FNP, RN and Celia McIntosh, DNP, RN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, SCRN, CNRN, CEN, CCRN were presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Advance Practice Provider Award respectively at the Rochester Business Journal 2025 Health Care Heroes celebration on February 27th. The Rochester Business Journal created the Health Care Heroes awards to recognize excellence, promote innovation and honor the efforts of organizations and individuals making a significant impact on the quality of health care in the Rochester area.

Milagros Rosado Elia, MA, APRN, ANP-BC, was a keynote speaker at the Swiss Oncology Nursing Association Congress in Bern, Switzerland on March 27th, where she spoke on the impacts of climate change in cancer care. She also spoke at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland on the topic of climate catastrophes and healthcare systems on March 25th.

Lusine Poghosyan, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN, was recently appointed to the American University of Armenia’s Board of Trustees.
