October 2024 – September 2025
It is my honor to represent the Oklahoma Nurses Association on the OBN Nursing Education and Nursing Practice Advisory Committee (NENPAC). NENPAC meets three times a year to review the Board’s rules and practice guidelines on a rotating basis and make recommendations to the Board for any changes or practice updates. The rules and guidelines are reviewed regularly. Some of these recommendations include evidence-based changes to the rules and guidelines while other recommendations are the addition of updated sources to support the rules/guidelines. These recommendations are sent to the Full Board for their approval at their scheduled meetings.
Since the last report to the ONA, the Board of Nursing has approved the following rules and guidelines sent to them by NENPAC. It is to be noted that the only guideline that had major revision was the Nursing Competencies by Educational Level: Guidelines for Nursing Practice and Education in Oklahoma.

- Policy on Names #OBN-03 3.4.1.3.
