12th Annual FNA Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Conference
July 25, 2026 | Harry P. Leu Gardens | Orlando, Florida

The Florida Nurses Association invites nurses from across the state to gather for the 12th Annual FNA Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Conference, taking place Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando. This annual conference offers a unique opportunity for nurses to engage with emerging research, explore evidence-based practice initiatives, and connect with colleagues who are advancing nursing practice in academic, clinical, and community settings.

The purpose of the FNA Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Conference is to promote communication and dissemination of nursing research and evidence-based practice projects being conducted throughout Florida. Each year, the conference creates space for meaningful dialogue around how evidence informs practice, improves patient outcomes, and strengthens the nursing profession.

Attendees can expect a dynamic day of learning that showcases the breadth of nursing scholarship and innovation. Podium and poster presentations highlight real-world projects ranging from clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to evidence-based practice changes implemented at the bedside, in classrooms, and within communities. The conference also provides valuable opportunities for professional networking, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning—whether you are new to research and EBP or a seasoned nurse scholar.

In addition to learning from others, nurses are encouraged to consider sharing their own work by submitting an abstract for poster or podium presentation. Presenting at the FNA Research and Evidence-Based Practice Conference offers numerous professional benefits, including the opportunity to develop a statewide reputation, associate your name with a specific topic or project, receive constructive feedback from peers, and promote your work within academic, clinical, and community environments. Many presenters also find that sharing their work opens doors to future research, publication, collaboration, and career opportunities.

Both nursing research and evidence-based practice projects are eligible for presentation, including those conducted in practice settings or as part of educational programs. Completed projects may be considered for podium presentations, while both in-progress and completed projects are eligible for poster presentation. Nursing students are also eligible and strongly encouraged to submit abstracts, making this conference an ideal platform for professional growth and mentorship.

The conference offers a welcoming and inspiring environment to reflect, learn, and engage with colleagues from across the state. Whether you attend to gain new insights, strengthen your practice, support colleagues, or contribute your own work, the FNA Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Conference continues to serve as a cornerstone event for advancing nursing in Florida.

Additional details regarding registration and abstract submission are available at www.floridanurse.org/ResearchConference. Nurses interested in attending or presenting are encouraged to mark their calendars and plan to join FNA for this important day of learning and professional connection.
