FNA Advocacy Days

Advocacy is at the heart of nursing, and the 2026 FNA Advocacy Days offer a meaningful way for nurses to make their voices heard. This annual event brings nurses together in Tallahassee to meet with legislators, learn about the legislative process, and speak up for issues that affect our profession and the patients we serve.

For more than two decades, nurses have been recognized as the most trusted profession. That trust gives our voices tremendous credibility with lawmakers. Advocacy Days is your opportunity to use that influence to advance policies that protect both nurses and patients across Florida.

During the 2026 session, FNA will continue advocating for protection from surgical smoke exposure—an important workplace safety concern—as well as other priorities that emerge from the reference proposals passed at the Membership Assembly.

Whether you’re a first-time participant or returning advocate, Advocacy Days is a chance to see firsthand how policy decisions are made and to play an active role in shaping the future of nursing in Florida. Your experience and perspective as a nurse truly make a difference.

Registration is now open! Take advantage of early bird pricing through December 22 and join your colleagues in making an impact. Visit www.floridanurse.org/AdvocacyDays for details and registration information.
