It has been a productive and engaging few months across the association with Membership Interest Group (MIG) activities, committee meetings, our annual Fall conference, and early efforts to revitalize our Kansas Association of Nursing Students (KANS).
On October 10th, we held our Annual Fall Conference and Membership Assembly in Wichita. The event was a success thanks to our insightful speakers who shared the latest innovations in migraine management, as well as the four impressive poster presentations by students and members. We were also pleased to announce our 2026 Board of Directors during the assembly. Thank you to everyone who attended we look forward to seeing you next year!
I extend my sincere appreciation to all who joined and contributed to our committees this past year. The Program & Events and Legislative & Advocacy Committees are actively preparing initiatives for 2026. The Governance, Finance & Membership Committee will begin convening in January as we welcome our new Treasurer and several committee members.
Looking ahead, please save the date for Advocacy Day on March 4th 2026. This is an important opportunity to engage with policymakers and advocate for the nursing profession.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and membership as we move into the new year. Your engagement and support are vital as we continue to advance the voice of nursing in Kansas.
Warm regards,
Dr Vicky McGrath
