Where did the spring go? Summer is here, and KSNA is working hard to bring you updated information and move the association into the future.

I know from the meetings we have had that nursing has many concerns, and the KSNA board and I would like to hear from the membership about what you are seeing and what your concerns are for the future of nursing.

Exciting news! We’re diving into something new with our Multi-Interest Groups (MIGs). These welcoming groups come together to chat about various topics, and some even collaborate on policies and legislation! Right now, we have a few groups in action: the Legislative group, the Education group, and a group dedicated to helping nurses navigate the legal side of nursing. If you’re curious about joining one of these groups or if you’re dreaming of starting your own, we’d love to hear from you! You can also pop over to the KSNA website to check out meeting times and get all the details on how to start your very own group.

In mid-June, KSNA representatives were excited to head to Washington, DC, for the ANA membership meeting! We had the opportunity to discuss the ANA bylaws and connect with other wonderful associations from across the country.

KSNA board has been working on the Strategic plan and developing the Fall Membership Assembly. We will be face-to-face this year. Join us for discussions and best practices on headaches.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. Take time for self-care, it is important and remember you cannot pour from an empty cup!
