My name is Kyna Iman, and I am the lobbyist for the Missouri Nurses Association. I am writing to ask you to step up and become engaged in the Missouri Nurses Association’s Political Action Committee to help us make significant changes at the state capitol.

Changes are not easy to accomplish in the state legislature, especially when you must continuously educate newly elected legislators on the importance of your issues. During the 2024 election, Missouri elected 54 new state representatives and 11 new state senators (out of 197 House and Senate races).

Thanks to MONA’s support, we were able to elect a Nurse to the both the House and the Senate!!

The physicians’ flow of money into advocacy has challenged our effectiveness. If MONA is going to stay relevant and make substantial change towards full practice authority, workplace safety, and other important healthcare changes, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TODAY! The opposition has deep pockets, but we have MANY pockets!

The MONA Political Action Committee (MONA-PAC) has set an immediate goal to raise $10,000 by asking selected nurse leaders to donate $100.00 each. We recognize your nursing leadership role in Missouri and the contributions you have made to advance the profession. We now ask that you be among the first to donate $100, or any amount you can, to help us raise sufficient funds and make a real difference in the election process and in the healthcare arena. Your PAC contribution will remain exclusively for campaign contributions and cannot be redirected to general operational funds. Since Missouri has no campaign contribution limits, the cost of running a House or Senate campaign has increased significantly.
