2024 Accomplishments

  • Approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to be an accredited provider of nursing professional development in January 2024.
  • From July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, the CE Committee provided and supported the provision of 17 different Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) activities or CE events and awarded contact hours to 611 nurse attendees. From July 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, the CE Committee provided and supported the provision of 6 NCPD sessions and awarded 7.0 contact hours to 159 nurse attendees.
  • Created a partnership with The Ohio State University Medical Heritage Library Friends of Nursing History to allow the Accredited Provider Program Director (APPD) to become a member of their steering committee. Together we joint provided -Racism: Its Continuing Presence in American History on May 2, 2024.

2025 Goals

  1. Provide at least two NCPD activities each year to address diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the nursing profession.
  2. Provide five pharmacology and/or other APRN target audience-appropriate activities in fiscal year 2024-2025.
  3. Identify new committee chair/vice-chairpersons to assume leadership in 2025-2026 by November 1, 2024.
  4. Work with the management company to develop a NCPD library in the new Learning Management System.
  5. Evaluate the opportunity to become an ANCC-accredited approver of NCPD for other providers/organizations.
