The Florida Nurses Association was proud to host the 12th Annual FNA Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice Conference on July 25 at Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando. Over the past twelve years, this conference has continued to grow into one of FNA’s signature educational events, bringing together nurses from across Florida to share ideas, showcase innovation, and advance the profession through research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.

This year’s conference reflected that continued momentum, with an impressive 83 poster presentations displayed across three poster sessions. The participation highlighted the growing interest in nursing scholarship throughout Florida and gave attendees the opportunity to connect directly with presenters, exchange ideas, and learn from projects that are improving patient care in hospitals, universities, and communities across the state.

The conference also featured four podium presentations covering topics such as nurse leader wellbeing, bureaucratic caring theory, post-traumatic growth following disaster events, and improving post-discharge follow-up through quality improvement initiatives. The day kicked off with an engaging QI/EBP/Research Jeopardy! session that offered a fun, interactive way to strengthen participants’ understanding of these foundational concepts before diving into the day’s presentations.
