All You Need to Know

The SCNA Nominating Committee has called for member suggestions for the 2026 election. Nominations are due May 1st.

In 2026, members will elect:

  • Full (SCNA/ANA) & SCNA Only Election
  • President-Elect*
  • Director Seat 1
  • Director Seat 2
  • SCNA Nominations and Election Committee* (5 people)

Full (SCNA/ANA) Election

  • Representatives to the ANA Membership Assembly (3 people- President*, President-Elect*, and Delegate*)
  • Alternates* for Representatives to the ANA Membership Assembly 

*Must be Full SCNA/ANA Member

Current Officers Eligible to run again for same office:

  • Jennifer Woodley (Director 1)
  • Ryan Fox (Director 2)
  • Rebecca Preast (Nominations and Elections Committee)
  • Leiann Boards (Nominations and Elections Committee)
  • Verlisha Goins (Nominations and Elections Committee)
  • Danielle Young (Nominations and Elections Committee)
  • Latonya White (Nominations and Elections Committee)

SCNA Chapters will also hold elections for:

  • Chair
  • Member At Large (2 people) 

SCNA Chapter Ballot(s) will be with the SCNA Ballot for those SCNA members who are also signed up as SCNA Chapter member(s). Nominations may be submitted at the same time as nominations for SCNA officers. All nominations are due to SCNA before May 1st, 2026.

Note that both the nominator and nominee for the SCNA 2026 elections must be SCNA members in good standing. Call SCNA at 803-252-4781 if you would like more information on any of these positions.

Call for 2026 SCNA Bylaw Revision Proposals

The South Carolina Nurses Association (SCNA) is now accepting suggested revisions to the SCNA Bylaws for consideration at the 2026 SCNA Annual Meeting this fall.

Members are encouraged to review the current bylaws, available on our website at www.scnurses.org/?Bylaws, and submit any proposed changes by May 1, 2026.

Call for 2026 Resolutions

The South Carolina Nurses Association (SCNA) invites members to submit resolutions for consideration at the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting.

Any SCNA member may research, draft, and submit a resolution on issues important to nursing and healthcare in South Carolina.

Deadline: May 1, 2026

Submit to: rosie@scnurses.org

Resolutions should be submitted in print-ready form to the SCNA Reference Committee.
