ANA-Michigan continues to demonstrate the strength, expertise, and leadership of Michigan’s nursing community by stepping forward to serve at the national level with the American Nurses Association (ANA). By engaging in national leadership, ANA-Michigan ensures that the voices and experiences of Michigan nurses help inform decisions that impact the profession nationwide—from advocacy and workforce issues to ethics, education, and health equity. This level of participation underscores ANA-Michigan’s dedication not only to its members, but to the advancement of nursing as a whole.
We are proud to announce that the following ANA-Michigan members have been appointed to new National American Nurses Association committees, where they will contribute their knowledge and leadership in service to the profession:
- Maria Bobo, DNP, RN, WHNP-BC, NPD-BC – Appointed to the ANA Committee on Honorary Awards, Sub-Committee
- Julia Stocker-Schnieder, PhD, RN, MS, BSN– Appointed to the ANA Bylaws Committee
- Barbara R. Medvec, DNP, RN, MSA, MSN NEA-BC– Appointed to the ANA Policy Committee
- Barbara R. Medvec, DNP, RN, MSA, MSN, NEA-BC – Elected as Chair of the ANA Leadership Council Executive Committee (LCEC)
