It is a profound honor and privilege to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of ANA-Michigan. As a Registered Nurse, I have always understood that our profession is built on a foundation of advocacy, legacy, and care. Stepping into this role, I am acutely aware that I am standing on the shoulders of the exceptional nurses who came before me, those who established an environment where the voices of Michigan nurses truly matter.

The ANA-Michigan Board of Directors, committee members, and current leadership have built a remarkable foundation of excellence. My goal is to honor that legacy while bringing a renewed strategic energy to our future. This opportunity, and the unique space it provides me to serve as a nurse entrepreneur, is truly the highlight of my career.

My mission is to ensure that our association is as resilient and innovative as the nurses it represents. Whether you are providing direct care at the bedside or leading strategy in the boardroom, ANA-Michigan is your professional home, and we are committed to meeting your evolving needs.

In the coming months, I look forward to working alongside President Barbara Medvec, Present-Elect Bethany Campbell and the Board to:

• Expand Our Value: Creating new avenues for professional development and leadership advancement for nurses at every stage of their career, to help each nurse become who they want to be.
• Modernize Our Connection: Implementing streamlined systems to enhance how we communicate, learn, and grow together.
• Elevate Our Advocacy: Ensuring that the nursing perspective is the driving force behind healthcare policy in Michigan and beyond.

I am eager to begin this journey and to meet the members who make this organization so vibrant. Your dedication is what drives our profession forward, and it is a true honor to serve you.
