We kicked off the summer season by drawing the winner of the Caring and Sharing 50/50 raffle. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we sold more than 900 tickets this year—surpassing last year’s sales! Our very surprised winner took home more than $4,500.

While summer may bring a slower pace, the Institute for Nursing is busy preparing for an exciting milestone: the celebration of the New Jersey State Nurses Association’s 125th Anniversary at the Marigold in Somerset on November 13.

To commemorate this special occasion and celebrate the Power of Nurses across New Jersey, we are pleased to introduce an opportunity to honor a nurse—or an entire nursing team—whose dedication, compassion, and impact deserve recognition.

For a donation of just $10, you can submit a tribute that will:

  • Recognize a nurse or nursing team who has made a difference in your life or community
  • Be featured on the Institute for Nursing Foundation website
  • Be included in the 125th Anniversary Gala celebration

In honor of NJSNA’s 125 years of service and leadership, our goal is to recognize at least 125 nurses or nursing teams during this milestone celebration.

In addition to the Honor a Nurse campaign, there are many ways to support the Institute for Nursing Foundation. We welcome both directed gifts and general donations, as well as participation in our fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Every contribution, regardless of size, helps advance the profession of nursing in New Jersey through scholarships, professional development, leadership initiatives, and programs that support nurses across the state.

We hope you will join us in recognizing the nurses who inspire, lead, heal, and make a difference every day. We are grateful for your continued support and commitment to the nursing profession. Visit our website and watch your email for additional details on how to participate and contribute.

I am deeply grateful for the IFN Board of Trustees and The IFN Fundraising Committee and its Chair, Jackie Owens. Their commitment and contributions are essential to the impact of the IFN. The NJSNA/IFN staff are invaluable to continuing our mission, and I appreciate all they put into their support of the IFN and me.

I am in awe of The Power of Nurses in NJ!
