The Nebraska Nurses Association (NNA) Region 1 Mutual Interest Group (MIG) hosted the annual Positive Image of Nursing Recognition Breakfast on April 4, 2026, at Great Plains Health in North Platte. This marked the third annual regional event, bringing together nurses and healthcare leaders from across the region to celebrate excellence in nursing.

This year’s event welcomed 48 attendees and honored 18 exceptional nurses. The Nebraska Nurses Association is proud to recognize the 2026 Positive Image of Nursing Honorees of Region 1 for their outstanding contributions to the profession and the communities they serve.

The honorees represented healthcare organizations throughout the North Platte, Kearney, Scottsbluff, and McCook regions. Each nomination included a heartfelt account of the nurse’s dedication, compassion, leadership, and commitment to providing exceptional care. These nurses consistently go above and beyond in their respective roles, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families, colleagues, and students every day.

Congratulations to each of our Region 1 2026 Positive Image of Nursing Honorees. Thank you for exemplifying the very best of nursing and for positively impacting the health and well-being of the communities you serve.
