2024 Accomplishments

  • Committee developed and approved as newest ANA-Ohio Committee in Spring 2024.
  • Committee Charter approved by Board of Directors (BOD) in September 2024.
  • Provided input to BOD regarding Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) proposed rule changes.
  • Began strategizing priority initiatives such as new graduate nurse professional practice offerings in the form of short video clips posted through social media channels.

2025 Goals

  1. Provide comprehensive list of celebratory dates for healthcare and any public health awareness dates for social media acknowledgements.
  2. Provide input to Bylaws committee regarding ANA-Ohio Bylaws amendment suggestions.
  3. Collaborate with OBN for OBN website updates for easier navigation and transparency of Ohio Law and Rule.
  4. Collaborate with OBN and ANA-Ohio CE committee to host CE event regarding new website, navigation of Ohio Law and Rule, and supportive structure of OBN as opposed to regulatory/punitive body.
  5. Gather feedback from Educators SIG, OhSNA, and hospitals throughout the state on top needs of new graduate nurses.
  6. Develop two social media education videos with a focus on top needs of new graduate nurses based on above input.
