ANA-MI 2026 Town Hall Series

Artificial intelligence is rapidly making its way into healthcare settings, but what does that really mean for nurses?

Join ANA-Michigan for the first 2026 Town Hall Series, Using AI in Nursing: Help, Hype, or Hazard? This engaging session brings together a panel of practicing nurses from diverse clinical settings to explore how AI is showing up in everyday nursing practice.

Through honest conversation and real-world examples, panelists will examine where AI tools may support documentation, enhance decision-making, and improve workflow efficiency, and where caution, professional judgment, and clear professional boundaries are essential. The discussion will center on practical realities, patient safety considerations, and the nurse’s critical role in ensuring AI is used responsibly without compromising the human connection at the heart of nursing care.

This interactive forum also gives participants the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and voice concerns in a respectful, supportive environment.

Participants will:

  • Increase their understanding of how AI may impact daily nursing practice, including practical use cases and limitations, and situations where clinical judgment must always take precedence.
  • Support nurses in identifying safe, ethical, and appropriate approaches to AI use, helping them feel informed, confident, and engaged as AI tools continue to evolve in clinical practice.

Whether you’re curious, cautious, or already experimenting with AI tools, this town hall is designed to meet you where you are, and ensure nurses help shape the future of technology in healthcare. Attendance is free. Reserve your spot today!
