In our recent communications, I shared news about ANA-Michigan’s transition to a new management services partner. I would like to take this opportunity to pause, reflect, and express my sincere appreciation to the leaders and volunteers who made this important milestone possible—and to formally welcome our new partner.

Thank You to Our Board Leadership

Transitions of this magnitude do not happen without thoughtful governance and collaborative leadership. I extend my deepest thanks to the ANA-Michigan Board, as well as the ANA-Michigan Foundation Board President and Treasurer, for their willingness to step forward and serve on the search and selection committee for our new Management Services Company.

Their commitment, discernment, and fiduciary stewardship ensured a thorough, values-driven process that kept our ANA-Michigan mission, members, and long-term sustainability at the forefront of every decision.

Appreciation for Our Committee Chairs

I also want to recognize our Committee Chairs, whose patience, professionalism, and dedication during this transition have been extraordinary. Their continued leadership, flexibility, and trust allowed the organization to maintain momentum while we worked diligently behind the scenes to secure the right long-term partner for ANA-Michigan.

Welcoming IMAGE Consulting, Inc.

After a comprehensive and deliberate search process, I am pleased to share that ANA-Michigan has selected IMAGE Consulting, Inc. as our new Management Services Company.

IMAGE Consulting, Inc. is an association management company specializing in healthcare and professional membership organizations, founded with the purpose of strengthening associations through strategic leadership, elevated member engagement, operational excellence, and modern technology systems. Although newly launched, IMAGE brings deep experience in healthcare, nursing, and association leadership, including active management of a professional state nurses association—providing direct insight into the needs, priorities, and operational realities of organizations like ours.

Their organizational model is lean, responsive, and data-driven, designed to expand our ANA-Michigan organizational capacity without expanding overhead. IMAGE’s work is guided by core values that strongly align with ANA-Michigan’s own:

  • Transparency and accountability to the Board
  • A member-first engagement philosophy
  • Scalable technology and modern operations
  • Effective communication with member volunteers and stakeholders
  • Sustainable financial stewardship

These principles, combined with their healthcare focus and commitment to partnership, position IMAGE Consulting, Inc. as a strong and forward-thinking collaborator as ANA-Michigan continues to grow and evolve.

Looking Ahead with Confidence

This transition reflects the strength of our governance, the dedication of our volunteer leaders, and our shared commitment to advancing professional nursing in Michigan. I am confident that, together with IMAGE Consulting, Inc., we are entering a new chapter marked by stability, innovation, and renewed focus on member value.

On behalf of the ANA-Michigan Board of Directors, thank you to everyone who contributed time, expertise, and trust throughout this process. I look forward to the work ahead—and to sharing more of this journey with our membership during our upcoming Member Assembly which will be Monday April 27th from 5:30 – 6:30PM via a zoom link.

With gratitude,
Barbara R. Medvec, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
