Missouri Nurses Association is Expanding Our Community: Welcoming LPNs to the Association
Nursing is strongest when every voice in the profession is represented. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, collaboration across all levels of nursing has never been more important. The Missouri Nurses Association is proud to expand opportunities for engagement by inviting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) across the state to become part of our professional community.
LPNs play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, schools, and community settings throughout Missouri. Their dedication, clinical skills, and commitment to patient care are essential to the strength of the nursing workforce.
By joining the Missouri Nurses Association, LPNs gain access to a network of nursing professionals committed to advancing the profession and supporting one another. Membership offers opportunities for professional connection, leadership development, continuing education, and participation in conversations that shape the future of nursing and healthcare in our state.
Bringing together nurses from different roles and practice settings strengthens our collective voice. When nurses unite, we can more effectively promote professional growth, support safe practice environments, and advocate for the wellbeing of the patients and communities we serve.
We encourage LPNs across Missouri to consider becoming part of this growing community. Together, we can continue building a strong, inclusive nursing profession that reflects the diverse roles and contributions of all nurses.
We look forward to welcoming you.
A Successful Nurse Advocacy Day
Nurses and nursing students from across Missouri recently came together for a powerful and inspiring Nurse Advocacy Day, demonstrating the strength of the nursing voice in shaping the future of healthcare in our state. The event brought together nurses from a variety of practice settings, backgrounds, and communities in addition to nursing students to engage directly in conversations about the issues that impact the nursing profession and the patients we serve.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the legislative process, meet with legislators, share their professional experiences, and highlight the critical role nurses play in ensuring safe, high-quality care for Missourians. These conversations are essential to helping policymakers understand the realities nurses face in clinical settings and the importance of policies that support both the nursing workforce and patient safety.
The energy and engagement from participants reflected a shared commitment to advocacy, leadership, and collaboration. Attendees also connected with fellow nurses and nursing students and strengthen their confidence in using their voices to influence positive change.
Nurse Advocacy Day serves as a reminder that nurses are not only caregivers but also leaders, educators, and advocates for the health of our communities. When we come together to share our expertise and perspectives, we help ensure that decisions affecting healthcare are informed by those who are closest to patient care.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all who took the time to participate and represent the profession with such dedication and professionalism. Your voices matter, and your engagement continues to make a difference for patients, nurses, and communities across Missouri.
