2024 Accomplishments

  • Requested permission from the Board to transition from Legacy SIG to Legacy Committee
  • Created a portable display board highlighting the history of ANA-Ohio
  • Created a written history timeline to hand out at Annual Meeting
  • Added 2 more committee members

2025 Goals

  1. Complete all requirements for full committee status.
    1. Develop and submit for approval the Legacy Committee Charter.
    2. Add one more member to the Committee.
    3. Provide quarterly reports & annual report to the Board of Directors.
    4. Draft 2026 Budget.
  2. Document and communicate the ongoing history of ANA-Ohio:
    1. Review the annual reports of ANA-Ohio structural units for notable highlights and accomplishments.
    2. Display poster at Poster Session of 2025 annual meeting.
    3. Work with Ngage to develop a plan to identify people and events in the archived image library.
  3. Consult with all ANA-Ohio structural groups to identify materials/memorabilia to preserve.
    1. Develop an education plan for structural units regarding saving historical documents and memorabilia.
    2. Write article(s) for ANA-Ohio New Journal on what should be archived.
  4. Create a library of interviews of ANA-Ohio leaders:
    1. Identify a list of Leaders and Executive Directors to be interviewed.
    2. Develop a plan for conducting interviews.
    3. Work with archivist from OSU Medical Center to determine if any interviews of past ONA Presidents are archived there.
    4. Begin planning for a virtual legacy hall.
