ICIRN releases new edition of Essential Nursing Resources

Share

The Interagency Council on Informational Resources in Nursing (ICIRN) has released the 26th edition of its Essential Nursing Resources (ENR) for nurses and librarians. This tool helps nurses identify potential nursing resources and guides them in their search for information.

Essential Nursing Resources provides a valuable service to RNs in a variety of roles by bringing together such a wide array of applicable resources to practice,” said American Nurses Association (ANA) Director of Nursing Practice and Policy Cheryl Peterson, MSN, RN. “It is a great ‘go to’ point to begin or be refreshed about evidenced based practice.”

The new edition of ENR includes new sections on blogs, forums and discussion lists, and other new media and also adds a content key feature that identifies whether the resource is free, mobile, online, or print. This new edition is available online only at www.icirn.org.

Joe Vallina is the assistant director, periodicals, at ANA.
