Thank you for agreeing to conduct a peer review for American Nurse Journal (ANJ). We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise to ensure that nurses receive useful, evidence-based information.

ANJ follows the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers. Please see the ANJ peer-review guidelines for more information at https://www.myamericannurse.com/peer-reviewers/. We will ask that you indicate whether you have any real or perceived conflict interest related to a commercial entity that provides patient products or services relevant to the article’s subject matter.

Focus on reviewing the content for clinical accuracy and relevance to nurses. Do not be concerned with grammar, punctuation, or style; our professional editorial staff will address those issues. Keep in mind that ANJ is a practice-focused journal. Your constructive feedback may be shared with the author, although your identity will remain confidential. Your recommendations along with other peer reviewer comments will be shared with the author to improve the manuscript. Please keep your review and contents of this article confidential.

Peer Reviewers should not use artificial intelligence in the review and should not enter the author’s manuscript or parts of the manuscript into an artificial intelligence tool. The Peer Reviewer is responsible for all content in the review.
