FDA changes blood donation policy

On Dec. 21, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changed its recommendation that men who have sex with men be indefinitely deferred from donating blood; the new time frame is a deferral period of 12 months since the last sexual contact with another man. Read more.
