New HPV vaccine offers greater protection against cervical cancer

A study in The New England Journal of Medicine Scientists reports that a new HPV (human papilloma virus) vaccine protects against nine types of the virus, seven of which cause most cases of cervical cancer. The current vaccine protects against only two cancer causing types of HPV. Read more and read the study abstract.
