Study: Antidepressants may pose risk for type 2 diabetes

A systematic review published in Diabetes Care reports that that people taking antidepressants are at a higher risk of type 2 diabetes, although it’s not certain whether the medication is responsible. Read more and read the abstract.

  • A friend who took an anti- depressant after discontinuing the med developed borderline DM.. A1C of 6 & elevated fasting blood glucose.
