With education, nursing staff can improve their knowledge of patient safety, infection prevention, and organizational policies. But how effective is game-based learning? This quality improvement project aimed to answer that question when a team of nurses implemented an interactive game-based learning event targeting nursing-sensitive indicators related to improving adherence to chlorhexidine gluconate treatments and reducing central line–associated bloodstream infections, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, and patient falls.
